Great time had by all but for goodness sake put some shade up and more tables!
Love the state fair but had a problem tonight with the Pokémon Go discount... Can I just say how frustrating it was tonight. We stood in line for 20 min just to get up to the ticket booth to be told we had to go somewhere else to get a coupon to come back and stand in line for another 20 min or longer...with upset children complaining that it was taking so long we didn't have the time nor patience to go somewhere else to come back and wait for forever again! Too expensive on the food, not enough variety of food, and absolutely NO WHERE to sit down to eat the food? Really? Animals and exhibits were cool as always, but would have liked to see the hand crafted things a LITTLE closer, some were set back too far from the chains to even see. And the rest of everything else, food carts, vendors shops seemed really thrown together and unorganized. And man..it was DIRTY. Felt gross the whole time there.

I usually can't go the first weekend due to being in the Army Reserves (our drill is usually the first weekend in September) but I got to go Sunday September 11th this year and was looking forward to seeing a lot of animals, mostly the poultry but was very disappointed to see nothing but pigeons and 3 baby chicks... I mostly go to see the animals but if you take the rides away, all that's left are flea market booths... The food is ok but overpriced. I would like to go to a mid-west State Fair just to compare!!!
