Love seeing people out and enjoying the beautiful autumn day. Unfortunately it lacked unison and lacked entertainment sitting. Food was good too many corn dog stands needed variety.
Went yesterday to the Fair... we go every year. The exhibits were great as always. Seemed like there wasn't as many booths outside for food & sales. One thing that was really out of control was people riding around on Side by Side ATVS and golf carts. We were cut off a few times while strolling along the walk. They would just pull in right in front of you, hop out & leave it sitting there. I can see using them for emergency but not just driving around with an empty cart for no reason. Annoying! Our family loves going to the state fair, we have been going for well over 25 years! Some of our favorites are the butter cow sculpture, agriculture booths and all the beautiful animals!!
Loved it. Loved the piglets, the cows, the squash, the knitted and quilted items. Especially loved the circus. Did NOT like the tightrope act. There needs to be a net under them for any sane person to enjoy this. Otherwise it is torture watching them wiggling and falling on that tightrope. Fortunately no one got killed. Still I loved the fair and want to go again.
Parking fee seemed too high since everything else is pricy inside fair grounds. Limits people their budget, specially the ones with few kids.
