If you find yourself in Urban Taco, do not expect traditional Tex-Mex. This is real, authentic fare more likely found in the better parts of Mexico City. The menu is rich in selection on tacos, tortas (sandwiches), salads and salsas. Start off with a thick, rich bowl of guacamole and chips, then dive into one of the signature dishes like Chicken tinga with tomato, chipotle and onion, or barbacoa of beef served in a warm totrta. Just the two of us, so we didn’t have the opportunity to try a lot of the food, but what we had was delicious! Chips & salsa are $4, but you get a choice of 3 salsas or dipping concoctions (wouldn’t call an avocado lime creme a “salsa,” but my goodness! it was good!) from a selection of about a dozen or so. Street tacos on corn or flour tortillas, as many as you think you can eat for around $4 or so. I had the “Acapulqueña” margarita which was super delicious. We are already planning to go back soon and try other menu items.
Is a very nice small place but very welcoming. The food and the service was great. Mario was very helpful with the menu and recommendations. Awesome person. He was very kind and we really enjoyed everything.
