I happen to stumble across this place last year and it was AWESOME. Only coming to Portland once a year, my wife and I knew we had to do it again but unfortunately it wasn't the same as it was the first time. The steak and tri tip weren't cooked right and the service was mediocre.
Food was really not that good. They ran out of the prime rib on Christmas of all days and I had to settle for a dry, unflavored pork chop, bitter brussel sprouts and bland mushroom and polenta. Service was lame -not very friendly and not apologetic about running out of the prime rib. It all started by going up to the hostess and letting her know we had reservations at 8. She asked p.m.? Remembered the food to have been better than our meals on this trip. We always stay at the Nine's and take some of our meals during our stay here. Perhaps the holidays threw them off their game.
Delicious Portlandish menu and wonderful atmosphere with huge open ceiling. This was my first time there - pricey, but great for a special occasion.
What a wonderful dining experience! Attended a party in the library room, the steak was amazing, drinks were great. Just an amazing place overall.
Excelente restaurante no oitavo andar do Hotel The Nines. Ambiente charmoso e descolado. Serviço elaborado. Badalado e muito procurado em Portland. Minha sugestão: New York, excelente carne.
We had a larger party for Sunday brunch. The space, the service, the Eggs Benedict and the coffee were great. The French Toast was just ok. We did have to wait a good 15 minutes to get in (even though we had a reservation) but to be honest, the waiting areas are very nice and we didn't mind. This was my 5th time here and I will definitely return.
I would recommend this restaurant to any and all looking for a fantastic meal! Will be going back!!!
