By far the worst emergency room people have been waiting over 8+ hours to be seen. This is not an Emergency Room would definitely not recommend if you need immediate assistance.

Absolutely horrendous management of this department, half or more of the patients there should've been redirected to an urgent care, their conditions an symptoms did not warrant an ER visit! Mine however did, an needed imaging an yet it was never ordered! My results were read an posted by an attending and a DO to the app but I was never called back! Do better hamot!

I do not live in Erie and feel for everyone that has to use this hospital for anything. I went to the ER 9-12-25 because I was in severe pain d/t a toride (something like that) growing under my tongue and pinching my tongue muscle in between. I have a surgery date of 9-23 but didn't feel I could make it another week not eating or drinking because of the pain. I went to hamot because I knew they had oral surgeons on call . On Sunday, I got sawdust in my eye. As unfortunate as it may be, this is not the first time I’ve had an eye injury. The first time was a couple years back. Heritage Valley treated me within 10 min of arrival and sent me home in just over an hour. This time was far different. I was in the waiting room for 2 hours writhing in pain.
