The rent is absolutely obscene for the space in the apartment as well as the distance from campus. It's a 15 minute walk up steep hills, hardly worth $685 a month. On top of that they charge unbelievable electric overages. Neither me nor my roommate have lived in the apartment since the end of May, yet we were still charges $10 over the $20 monthly allowance. I would not recommend living here to ANYONE, no matter how desperate you are. I signed a lease here because I was last minute searching for a place and was told over the phone that there was only ONE townhome left and that I needed to come sign immediately. Upon arriving at the leasing office I saw a post-it note that said there were TWENTY THREE townhomes left. That should have been my first red flag. Place sucks
Not the greatest place to stay in Morgantown. The rent is absolutely crazy, and on top of that the electric charges are also high. On top of that you also have to pay for parking. It nice in the sense that it's newer but the staff doesn't handle issues very well. Since the day I moved in, I said about my roommate situation. They are supposed to pair girls with girls and guys with guys, however I was somehow paired with a male graduate student, so in addition to the gender differences theres also a big age gap. My only Issue with Uplace is my two bedroom apartment has very small bedrooms, I can just barely open my closet door without it hitting the bed frame.
