I was at this hospital in & out with my son for about a year now and think this is the best hospital I have ever been to. Other then 2 nurses everyone has always been so nice & helpful ! Love the Doctors. Maybe because he had a liver transplant but anytime he called he was put right through or they called him right back. Thanks to all of the Doctors & nurses !

UVA is wonderful Dr. Oldfield and his team were excellent. They saved my life! Wouldn't go anywhere else but there!!
I think UVA is one of the worst hospitals I have ever been to. The wait time is ridiculous, some nurses are rude and unwilling to help. I had to scoot myself out in the wheelchair. They kept giving me pain medicine that had no effect, and told me they would give me more, instead they released me in excruciating pain. The nurse had the nerve to tell me that where my pain was is not my kidney, however, the first time I went to UVA for my UTI and my regular doctor both confirmed it was my kidney. I was better off dying at home.

We found out on the 23rd of February of this year that our grandaughter had cancer and I have to say that our experience with everything and everyone here has been excellent , It seems to me that they truly hire the best.
Thanks to the late Dr Jane Sr I'm here today. Love this place
On Tuesday September 8th, I was taken to the ER with a snake bite. From the ER, to my admittance on 3 East, I had nothing but the best care! All the Drs and nurses were amazing! I work for UVA and have been a patient there many times, but have never experienced the level of care I got this time. Thank you for all you do!
My son was seen in the ER on Sat. pm and did not receive the appropriate care or treatment one would expect. Despite being there for 5+ hours, he had to literally find the nurse to get a fever reducer and both the resident (Dr. Pettaway) & attending (Dr. Borek) disregarded our instructions for the necessary treatment for my son's chronic issue. My son & I both informed the staff of the need for IV hydration & specific blood tests his personal dr's ordered. Upon d/c, he left in the same or worse condition he entered the ER an... read more
