I cannot stress enough how awful this place is. I have friends who lived here and I spent a load of time here, but also have heard horror stories from them living here. I took it upon myself to write this review as one is too upset to even leave a review due to the bill received upon moving out. I lived at Edge while I was a senior at Saint Mary’s College. Initially when you move into Edge everything is fine. Rent is cheaper at Edge than other off campus options in South Bend and it comes with good amenities like the pool and workout room. Aside from our apartment being pretty dirty when we moved in and our ice machine being broken we were happy with how the place was. Would NOT recommend living here. Many things to complain about. Just some on my list are being shocked by kitchen appliances (which they didn’t do anything about- my roommate was electrocuted), the washers constantly broke and dirty water would sit in it for weeks, I discovered black mold under my bed (which explains why I was severely sick the entire year), I was charged for “smoke remediation” when NO ONE had ever smoked in our apartment (when I confronted them about these charges, they didn’t even know what they were char... read more
It is a great place to live! The staff is really nice, friendly and helpful and organized and will help you with the process. They have a shuttle bus that can take you to school so you don’t have to worry about transportation. The apartments are really modern and in great condition! Would advice to live here if you are looking to live in South Bend. It also has a gym, pool area, and lounge that are 24/7 accessible to the residents which are a great deal! DO NOT live here. You will get charged with anything and everything they can find to charge you with. We had black mold in our apartment, our sink was shocking us, and nothing was resolved. However, they want to charge us $800 for "damages" …….. DO NOT LIVE HERE
