I asked for bloodwork and the doctor asked why I hadn't been doing my own bloodwork. I asked for help on a rash. The doctor never examined it but seemed upset that I hadn't been to a dermatologist. I'm not sure what they do at the clinic, but I kept getting lectured on what they don't do. I was hoping for education on a potential new condition and instead got lectured on why wasn't I doing this or that. No bedside manners, and no analysis on the rash.
0/10. Turned away because they are “reservation based only” according to front desk lady. HOWEVER their website says that you are encouraged to have a reservation, does not say you have to. Unity point you need to fix your website to say reservation based only so people aren’t wasting their time coming here when you are “full”. Front desk lady also said “all urgent cares across Iowa are reservation based only”, which is not true.
Went Friday, had the worst experience I've had with unity point ever. Doctor didn't seem even slightly interested in helping. Once her mind was set that it was strep, it didn't matter whatsoever about my history with having strep, or my thoughts regarding absolutely anything. Still waiting for a culture to come back, while whatever is happening has now spread to my left tonsil and have absolutely zero treatment plan.
Do not go here if you need to be seen. I have been twice for urgent care needs and was turned away, both times!!! The parking lot was empty, waiting room was empty, but the receptionist told us they were "booked". It's a walk in clinic and need an appointment? Looks like I'm not the only one with this experience. Who is running this clinic? It should be closed.
How can you call be a walk-in/express clinic and then not be able to get anybody in for almost 6 hours? Make that make any sense
