I have never seen a company so disorganized in my entire mortgage career. The company is quick to blame others including borrowers, title companies, realtors and other partners. They boast about being top wholesale lender which is far from the truth. When brokers have little choice on pricing, they tend to use this bank but won't be too long brokers stop using this lender. Avoid this company at all costs! As you can see from other reviews; they will hold onto your money as long as they possibly can. They kept my escrow and refused to release it until they did an "escrow review" which wasn't going to be for another 9 months! I fought with them for a few months and finally got it... about 45 days later. Then I refinanced to take advantage of some lower rates and it was an absolute nightmare!!! UWM holds my loan and I have been paying on time for over a year. I applied for hardship with UWM, since I was placed on disability and have not been working, they approved my package and mailed me the agreement, when I called to speak to them about it, I was told that my loan had be sold to another company and they do not have a hardship agreement in place and I will have to take it up with the new company. We bought a home in 9/2017 and paid significantly over the 20% after 6 months. This should have removed our MIP which was over $300 per month. UWM did not remove this fee for 6 months which meant they took over $2000 from us. Then, they said they would back pay. After that, they refused to do so. Not only did they take money from us, but we used over 10 hours over our time trying to resolve this.
