If there were negative stars rate, I would give it. I called their customer service and sent them an email to check if the property tax was paid. The customer service personnel was unfriendly; however, he mentioned the property tax was paid. I also received an email from them stating that property tax was paid on time. After that, I received a mail from the county that the property tax was not paid with penalty because of their irresponsible action. I have horrible experience with them and can't wait to close my refinance to get our of here. They have customer service team that don't know anything. I called many times about different issues and I've been transferred to too many people which they say, sorry our department don't handle that and they again transfer to someone else. The lender that they deal with are horrible too, I would never recommend going through them, and they need to have better and more knowledgeable representatives to answer then phone.

UWM has refused to pay my insurance from my escrow. I have over $9800 in the escrow account. I pay my loan on time yet after submitting my insurance invoice numerous times, starting 3 weeks prior to the policy lapsing, they have lied about paying and even said they sent the check to the wrong address in a completely different state. So you have managed to monopolize the industry. Horay to you! You are so great and doing business, but what you forgot is us, the consumers. 1. Your website is just terrible (I am in tech). United Wholesale Mortgage SUCKS! They made us verify our employment four times. Even after our closing. We closed on Friday and they said funds would be in our account on Wednesday, but then on Wednesday they wanted to re-verify and did not put the funds in our account. Completely inept. Failed to pay homeowners insurance, ultimately took a month to get it paid. UWM representative was incredulous when I asked if they paid the property taxes. If you miss one, you could miss two. Ultimately, they were not supposed to pay property taxes (escrow did), but strangely, UWM paid the property taxes anyway....paying more than what was in the escrow account, leaving a negative balance AND then could not send the insurance payment because of the negative balance. Called customer service spoke with a Chenesy who refused to answer questions or clarify answers. I asked to speak with her supervisor, initially she said she could not do that then asked me to hold. I did for 55 min. to have the call answered by collections. When I mentioned I had held for so long I was told "that's a pretty good time compared to others." HORRID CUSTOMER SERVICE. Go anywhere else for a loan.

I recently refinanced my mortgage through UWM. Setup Autopay option and got a confirmation email that all looks good. After a few months, logged into website and found no payments were done. They have charged me heavy penalties and reported to credit bureau. NO ALERTS, EMAILS or MAIL from UWM regarding Autopay did not work and NO payments processed. Finally had to pay all the Fines.
