I was at the UC on September 24th for the Blackhawks Training Camp. The event itself was fun but a technological glitch caused their credit card machines to not work. People were asked to swipe their cards and then told the system was down and had to pay cash. Later that night, I saw that my credit card was charged for the food AND I paid cash. Which means my food order cost me $80!!!! Not cool, UC, not cool.
It was amazing. I've never been able to go to a Blackhawks game because the tickets are crazy expensive, so this was a perfect way to see them play for a really cheap price. Also, I've never been inside the united center before and it's very nice inside !
Yesterday we went to the Blackhawks training camp and, I was impressed! It was family oriented and well put together! We are definitely going every year! Thank so much for the awesome time!
There was a bit of a scam going on outside section 301. I was with my 2 year old son and had just bought him a stuffed animal elephant across the way using my debit card. Then went to concessions and tried to buy a regular coke and pretzel with cheese. The girl told me to swipe my card. I did. She then said try again 3 times. Said all credit card machines were down. Always have a great time at the Blackhawks Training Camp Festival!!!! I have gone every year and just love it!
They needed security outside the gates. People were making their own lines to get in then started pushing to get the giveaway. Which in turn made other people lose out who were standing in line since 7am. We notified security going in they said they were late and couldn't do anything. Also the outside stuff would have been better if it went on after the scrimmage so everyone could participate there. No one wanted to leave their spot in line so they could get a good seat. Hockey's Disneyland. Great crowd, good friends, great food, nice to see the upcoming crew play in a scrimmage game.
Love it there!! Had a blast! Everyone is super nice and helpful!
