I used to like the venue, but now I don't think I want to go back even if my favorite act is in town. The security has reached a new level of absurdity. It's like walking into the O'Hare Airport or courthouse. Metal detectors, staff with wands, personnel touching everything in my bag. Ridiculous. I get the need for security, but this process is extremely paranoid....what was wrong with the original system? Also, the metal detector is rigged. Nothing can beat the United Center when it comes to seeing a concert,hawlks or bulls. Food is over priced but that is to be expected. People watching is great, and you get caught up in the enthusiasm of the crowds. Can't wait to come back.
My family just went to our first game and the security service was extremely horrible. The staff needs to be educated on the different types of disabilities that a child can encounter. Our daughter has type one diabetes. When we went through the metal detectors we were asked to leave behind water that we carry for our daughter. When I tried to explain to the staff that my daughter requires to have water and juice with her at all times I was asked why I was carrying instead of my daughter. View was great & the food selections were Amazing too! Go Bulls! :)
RecommendedNever had a bad time at the U.C., Bulls, Hawks and concerts all great. Much friendlier atmosphere than say, Soldier Field. The staff, security, and fan base, all great and respectful. If there is a fan 'issue' they don't mess around.. Out on the street they go! I wish other venues in the area would get with that program.
