Dr Ungson sat and listened to both my his and and myself for over an hour. He discussed a treatment plan, and we really liked what we heard. He is very willing to help. I'm grateful to both the doctor and his staff for getting us in as quickly as they did also.

I have been a patient of Dr. Ungson for about 2 years now and I can't believe some of these reviews. Almost exactly what I'm going through. I don't feel like he listens and he refuses to change my meds regardless of the fact that I've gotten.worse. He got pissed off when I missed an appt. I had a death in.my family! Very unprofessional. In the process of finding another doctor. My advice, look for another doctor!
I have known Dr. Ungson for 15 years professionally, having worked with him with numerous patients and also was pleased with the care that he gave my husband. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. I believe he always has the patient's best interest in mind and he approaches treatment and prescribing with that in mind. I highly recommend him. Erin Troup, RN
Not particularly fond of having the meds my PCP prescribed thrown in the trash or being treated like a toddler.
Dr. Ungson takes a very antiquated approach to the field. His paradigm is that the patient does not have enough personal insight to know if they are feeling well and therefore is dependent upon him like a child. Therefore, even if you are doing great, you are required to see him monthly (which, of course, has a monetary benefit to his practice.) It is my sincere hope that Dr. Ungson, an intelligent man, will familiarize himself and instead apply empowering approaches to his practice.
Run away as fast as you can. If you don't agree with him , he throws you out of his office. Very unprofessional. Could care less if your in distress. No compassion at all. I think he could use some anger management and a Psychiatrist of his own. I know too many people that feel the same way about him. Too bad they allow doctors like him to practice.
Initial visit... contrary to reviews, I found Dr. Ungson to be genuine, compassionate, and knowledgeable (though I am no MD). He was backed up but did his best to be efficient without sacrificing the quality of my visit. He is somewhat soft-spoken. Felt comfortable sharing with him. His office manager was busy and handled it well.
