Dr. Richard Unger is a brilliant physician who has helped me tremendously over the years with my neurologic problems. He is very thorough and takes his time to discuss and explain my medical issues. He is very pleasant, kind, trustworthy, and has a good bedside manner. His office is clean. His staff is very helpful and kind as well. Scheduling has never been a problem for me. Waiting time in his office is minimal. I would highly recommend Dr. Unger to anyone. He is the best!

Dr. Unger orders an extreme amount of testing, however, interpretations and results of testing take months to obtain and are ambiguous. His process of documentation is so very generic that it consists of codes. He fails to document actual observations in his physical examinations, recommendations, patient abilities or limitations, although his records document that he provides education. He has a patient portal, where the patient can obtain office records, but messages are never responded to.

Waited an hour and forty five minutes to see the Doctor on the first app. and was never informed by staff that Dr. Unger was running behind schedule. My follow up app. took two months for them to schedule as it seems they are quite busy. On my second visit, after waiting forty minutes I informed the receptionist that I was leaving and would not be back. About an hour Doctor Unger called to say he was no longer busy and if I wanted to come back he had time to see me. No thanks!

His nurses are rude. He does not fill out his own paperwork. He has someone else fill out and he signs it. He charges outside of the insurance company to do that.I would not recomnend him to anyone.
