I have a serious illness so you’d assume most doctors would keep an eye on their patients with a disease like that and be there to offer compassion and guidance. I have never been neglected more at any other medical facility than I have at UMass Rheumatology. My doctors actively ignore my calls and messages. You cannot receive an actual person at their clinic but instead you are sent to a call center every time you call them. BEWARE! This rheumatology clinic runs itself extremely poorly. If the doctors aren't bad enough themselves, you also won't receive quality continuity of care. They regularly book months out of your last appointment because they are so full. The doctors are almost always over an hour late to the appointment. They are clearly dealing with too many patients for any one of them to receive quality care, so they simply won't provide it.
