How is it legal to run a hospital this screwed up in 2026?
My family member was admitted to the emergency room. They then needed a procedure. The family was escorted to the ICU waiting room. We sat there for 1.5 hours. We were never updated on our family members status. I used a phone to check on the family member only to be told that they were not in the unit where we were escorted to. The staff we encountered were very kind, but I will never be returning to this ER. My fiancé slipped on ice and dislocated his shoulder for the third time. Since this has happened before, we know the necessary steps to get the shoulder back into place. We arrived around 9 PM and didn’t leave the hospital until 3 AM. To make matters worse, they left his arm out of its socket for over six hours. He was in significant pain, and we didn’t even get moved into a room until around midnight. Shameful wait have been here since 5am and was on a list with 2 ahead, then told...you've been moved on a list where there are now 5 ahead of you! How can that be? Who's moving lists around? How can they determine list align when the don't know what's wrong with anyone? An 89 year old should not be left sitting in a cold hallway in wheelchair for any amount of time. Certainly not for the 6+ hours he has been already and still waiting!!!!! GROSS MISCONDUCT! What do you do with all your $ get some more doctors!
