I’ve had the “Shoyo” and “Umai Tonkotsu” ramen, but both have been disappointing bowls thus far. I get that it’s still within the first month of opening and there’s room for improvement, but if ramen is your main draw you need to bring your A-game. I don’t know what happened between opening weekend and now, but the pork chashu was dry and tough to chew, the noodles were soggy and not presented well, and there’s just not enough umami compared to other shops in the Chicagoland area. Tried the spicy miso ramen- the broth was fantastic. Heat was deep without being overpowering, noodles were perfectly cooked and the smoked pork was sublime.

Food was really good! We enjoyed the pork dumpling and the ramen. Nice atmosphere, attentive staff and manager. We look forward to going back soon!!
