The food had plastic in it from being prepared and the flavor was not very good...

The food looked NOTHING like what is pictured. Broth was white and tasted horrible. Portions are very small also. The crispy Brussels sprouts were not even whole, they were a bunch of burnt leaves. The spicy chicken was ok but the other food was thrown in the garbage and we didn’t fen eat it. I tried to call and the guy had a horrible attitude and said those are popular items and people usually like them and did not want to help. I would not order here if I was you. Spend your money elsewhere!!
RecommendedWe love Umai Aji-Ya! My husband and I have gotten take out from them twice in the last week. Both times, the food was hot upon arrival and exactly how we ordered it. We have had ramen from several places in Chicago and this restaurant is the most comparable in the suburbs. We would definitely recommend this place, especially for ramen.
I would have taken a picture but I ate it all before I thought about it! I had the tonkotsu ramen and a side of crab Rangoon. The Rangoons had a ton of real crab in them, even though there were only 4 totally worth it! And the ramen... oh man. Fresh noodles and rich broth. The pork was incredible too. Great job guys! Will definitely be eating here again. Oh side note they separated the noodles form the broth for my delivery order so the noodles didn’t soak up all the liquid.

This is our 2nd time my girlfriend and I tried Umai and it really hits the spot during this chilly weather! You can always ask for a hit of spicy in your ramen for those who like a little kick and their fries is to die for. We will be back! ❤️🍜😋
This was my first time at Umai Aji-ya in Naperville. The food was simply delicious! All of the ingredients were quality and fresh. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen bowl. The price was very reasonable for the quality of an authentic Japanese style ramen bowl. The staff was very polite and informative about their menu. I will definitely be back to try their most popular item - Spicy Miso Ramen bowl. I also look forward to sampling the rest of the menu. For nice little lunch or early evening appetizer spot.
