The following is my opinion and seeks to offer advice for current and prospective tenants of UIP properties based on my experiences with UIP Property Management: When my boyfriend and I toured the property in mid-October of 2012 our leasing agent Layton Wilson told us that he would offer the rest of the month of October to us free of charge and that we were welcome to move in as soon as the refrigerator was moved back into the kitchen (when we toured the apt the refrigerator was in the living room). My experience with UIP Property Management has been very unpleasant, based on a lack of information during the leasing process, lack of response to my phone calls/emails about problems and overall poor customer service. The properties that UIP recently renovated look fantastic and are in great locations, however, the customer service aspect does not measure up.
Terrible Service – If I could give UIP and The Sedgewick a negative rating I would. The staff are the most useless rude, incapable group of people I have ever met. We moved in 10 months ago and I cannot wait for our lease to be up so we can be released from this hell. Month on month we have to fight with them to take our rent. We were told the most reliable way was to pay online. Every month is the same story- We pay online, we receive a payment confirmation by email, we think the rent is paid.
