The clinic mentioned self pay discount one time and never did again. They kept billing my insurance at a higher rate than I had to pay. I had no fertility benefits but they asked for my insurance card every time. I could have saved roughly $1000.00 or more on healthcare. It’s sad. You want to get pregnant you don’t have insurance coverage and they don’t tell you you should just pay the cash rate and go on a payment plan. It’s a 30% savings. We switched to this clinic after going through the IUI process and having some unfortunate experiences at another local clinic. Our experience was nothing short of positive once we made the switch to U of I. They were upfront about pricing, listened to our concerns and goals, made a plan with us and stuck to it, made changes to medications that the other clinic did not and we now have an almost 2 year old that was born after our first go at IVF. Very expensive and they don't care what time your appointment is. One appointment the doctor was out so the nurse consulted, and she couldn't give us any answers. Another appointment we waited 55 minutes then had to leave since we had to get back to work. They are not considerate of your time. Example of cost: We were quoted $175 for an ultrasound; when we got the bill it was $231. Quite the difference!
