The entire staff are such caring and supportive people, my grandsons( twins have been. There for 3 months and I believe with
November 9, 2016 my 15 yr old daughter was transferred to UCSF. After 24 plus hours of testing, a lymph node removal we heard the word no parents want to hear...Cancer! Since then we have been back almost every week for treatment and surgery. I have never felt more confident, cared for and supported by a medical staff. My grandson is here after being diagnosed with AML leukemia in September... Of course the news of his diagnoses was COMPLETELY devastating to my daughter and the rest of our family, however I will say that the nurses and doctors involved in my grandson's cancer treatment have been absolutely wonderful .... My son has been a patient since he was 3 years old he's now 10 years old. He's suffers from Crohn's and motility issues in the lower bowel we've had several trips to UCSF children's hospital we just returned home Monday from another treatment. It's so hard having a sick child but I couldn't ask for better nurses and doctors for all the support they give us while we go through these hard moment in life.
You all saved our daughters life, and became our family. You have personal investments with your patients. You became our home away from home and you got my family through the hardest times. Thank you all for your amazing work.
