About this business

A brainchild of acclaimed chef, Tyson Cole, Uchiko is his second establishment in Austin, which opened its doors following the success of Uchi. The menu features delicious innovations brought into traditional Japanese cuisine; Yokai Berry, Koviche, Dewbee Chicken and tuna sashimi with goat cheese are a few to be named. While attempts are made to offer guests something new, the ingredients remain authentic, which also includes sourcing fish all the way from Tokyo. Amazing service from Brandon and the food was incredible as well. First time at Uchiko after visiting Uchi several times and it was just as delicious. Great atmosphere and vibe and not so loud you can’t have a conversation. It’s also a bit bigger than Uchi and can accommodate larger parties more effectively. All around a great experience.

This was a once in a lifetime experience! We recently went here and had the chefs experience (omakase). This was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Charlie, the chef at the sushi bar was absolutely amazing, took time to tell us about each dish, and was all around inviting and amazing. When we come back to Austin, this will absolutely be on our list! Thanks for a top notch experience! From Tennessee...

Amazing food and service! We didn't have reservations and still were sat quickly even though there was a rush. Our server, I think his name was Brandon was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our server made sure we received a birthday dessert for my boyfriend's birthday. We will definitely be back.
