About this business

A brainchild of acclaimed chef, Tyson Cole, Uchiko is his second establishment in Austin, which opened its doors following the success of Uchi. The menu features delicious innovations brought into traditional Japanese cuisine; Yokai Berry, Koviche, Dewbee Chicken and tuna sashimi with goat cheese are a few to be named. While attempts are made to offer guests something new, the ingredients remain authentic, which also includes sourcing fish all the way from Tokyo. Overall, a pleasant meal. The baby black snapper was delicious as well as the other 5 items we tried. I would just say the experience was not quite as phenomenal as Uchi. The service was good, not exceptional. HH selections were decent, and the sake collins was refreshing.

The best Sushi experience I have ever had. Loved the stone cooked Waygu beef was delicious and fun tho do. All the sushi was awesome with very unique flavor combinations. The Milk and Cereal dessert was worth saving room for. Last of all, we relied on our server Marko for most of our order. He was knowledgeable and spot on with all our choices.

It was our first time to dine at this wonderful place. Our server was tremendous - great recommendations and she told us all about what we were eating and the best way to eat it to get the full effect of the flavors and experience. All I can say is wow. It is a birthday to remember
