My sister recently delivered here and I was highly disappointed with the quality of care. The nurses in labor and delivery were amazing. The doctors and how they handled the plan of care were horrendous. The recovery staff brought back high hopes but we were quickly let down by the awful mom and baby unit nurses. My sister's day shift nurse and PCT were unprofessional, down right rude and their treatment towards mom and baby were completely unacceptable. RecommendedWe had to visit the New Gardendale UAB tonight after my husband was attacked by a stray dog. Everyone was incredibly nice and professional.we were treated exceptionally from everyone from the security staff to the Dr. & Nurses on staff. We were in and out in about 2-1/2 hours, and would have probably been out sooner, but had to wait for Rabies antibiotics to be couriered from UAB Main. Very very happy with the service, the wonderful way the building is set up etc.
