You really couldn't find enough donors to help the football program? Oh wait... you didn't try.
If UAB would recruit local athletes from our hometown high schools, I believe the program would really stand a chance. Who better to support our players better than the families that live here in Birmingham? If we quit letting players from Hoover, Vestavia, Parker Wenonah and other great schools here in the Magic City go abroad, then UAB would be a force to reckon with.
I have no respect for a school that chooses numbers over the well being of their student athletes. Save UAB Football. These young men deserve better.
