Uab is too big for its own good. 9 month waits make no sense. Last time I waited for about 6 months… only to get there and be told the provider cancelled that morning and would have to wait for another : months for an open spot.

My child's doctor has been great for her issue. Testing was prompt, diagnosis immediate, and communication is excellent with the department.
The clinic has very poor communication with patients. We had one amazing nurse during our one and only experience. The second star is solely for her. I would investigate a different hospital for any sort of lab work. You will never receive answers or results from an actual doctor, just staff personnel leaving one word messages on your voicemail.
