I don’t have the words to express just how amazing and how grateful I am for all of the doctors, nurses, aids and even the janitorial staff that work in the UAB Palliative wing. There are too many names to post so this is for all that work that wing. This floor became the final resting place for our Momma D. The staff I was blessed to know through our family’s toughest time felt like family and not hospital staff. They treated us as family with every interaction. Thank you from the bottom of our heart. Mrs. Elizabeth who spent a whole hour with us making sure we understood everything and the decision was correct for my Mom. Carla Hutto. To easily some of the best nurses and staff I have ever met. To the biker nurse (I too ride bikes) who comforted my dad when she passed. Mom was there on this date, August 1, 2017. The entire staff were Amazing and Comforting. Each year on this day is very hard for me because I took care of Mom alone, out of the 9 children she had. The Lord has her, and she's with dad. That's what keeps me going. Love you Both!!! Miss you both. Kisses!!!
