I had pre op testing today at UAB Highlands. The RN and NP were fine but the lab person named April was rude and no personality at all. No direction and acted like she did not want to be there. The receptionist was about as bad. I may change when I have my surgery after this visit.
Lady that's sits in the front of doctor peach office, is very rude. No manners what so ever. Could careless if you need help with the questions asked or with the tablet.
Restrooms are filthy. Waiting room is dirty especially the windows and glass. Chairs close together with everyone elbow to elbow and people coughing and sneezing, babies crying. They are super quick to get your information SSN and billing, hear your reason and get vitals but after that not so much. I waited over 3 hours in nauseating pain from kidney stones. they had taken everyone back except me. New people still filling the cramped, small, waiting room. The whole experience was unsettling.
I had a replacement of my shoulder replacement (done in 2023 but I totally shredded my rotator cuff need to do a reverse replacement) First - day surgery staff are great! They are super friendly, efficient and competent! They will definitely make you feel at ease. They're great at answering any lingering questions you may have and are wonderful at getting each patient ready for their surgery.
