Haven't even set the appointment and it's already choas. Called one day they told me they had my sons refferal but it hasn't been processed. Gave it some time ans called back and they said they were waiting on doctors notes....didn't call back until the new year and all of a sudden they don't have a refferal. Wish it was somewhere else I could go

It took almost a year for my appointment. I was so excited to find out why medications don’t react right with my body chemistry. They would only talk about my risk for blood clots, would not test for anything else, and I was not allowed to make a follow up appointment. They destroyed my last bit of hope and now I’m just waiting for whatever is wrong with me to take me out because there is nothing left to advocate for. They have all failed me.
I am extremely irritated, upset, and disappointed. I scheduled an appointment over 6 months ago to meet with a genetic neurologist at University Alabama Birmingham (UAB) clinical genetics, and traveled 3 hours to Birmingham, Alabama, for it. Upon arrival, I discovered that this appointment could have taken place over the phone and that I was mistakenly scheduled for genetic counseling, which I did not request.
