SO stunned in fact, I immediately reviewed the security cameras to see why it could have been such a bad experience for you. Just a couple of clarifications: 1) All the people that were sitting at tables last night were also looking for a great night, they just happened to get here earlier than you. Unfortunately, even though we are one of the largest restaurants in the area, we still only have a finite number of seats. Huge portion sizes, very sharable and tasted good. Service was slow..about 45 minutes to get food. It's a little pricy for what you get. I liked the ambiance and decor.
Thank you for having Too Much Sylvia last night. They rocked the room. Perfect place hear the best band. You did a great job.
We are foodies. I am third generation successful restaurateur. Gourmet cooks and home style country cooking both sides of our families. We know good food. First time I have seen pierogis on a menu. Incredible. The fried green tomato burger? The pimento cheese burger? The grilled Caesar wedge? 5 star. Twisted Oak is fantastic. If you live in Statesville, no need to drive anywhere else. If you live out of town, it's worth the trip!
We walked out tonight because the bartender acted like it was a bother to even take our drink order, never smiled and very cold . There was no bar guest and she had one 2 top booth . This use to be a cool fun place to eat ... Very disappointed !
Love the Shrimp Grits and the very nice beer selection.
