Drove down from Tucson to attend the Collectors Classic Car Show . Read that admission was free. When we got there an admission was being charged which I was fine with but then was informed by a big sign my small dogs that travel with me could not come in. They were in a stroller. Tubac Resort touts itself as being pet friendly but apparently NOT! Tried to have my husband go ahead and I would wait outside the area with my small dogs but he said no way! It was nice but could of had it better planned as far as patking and the charging of the $10.00 was rediculous. Ran out if sodas. The bslloons just layrd there some at least. Just to go to see them light up or glow wasnt worth it
The advertisements should have mentioned a total cash only event. There weren't enough food trucks or restroom facilities to handle the number of people and the admission fee was too expensive for the "show".
I normally wouldn't post a bad review, I normally would only avoid all future events. Border patrol everywhere and did nothing but stand around and talk, even crossing back they weren't even checking cars. All the food was sold out but they still had the lines. It was so dark where the children jump castles were you couldn't see. The lines to the bathroom were so long, we had to allow our child use a bush. Terrible experience...0 is more like it. One road in and out... one toilet with no TP for what must have been over 400 visitors. Children peeing the floor while waiting over an hour for a that one toilet.Overcrowding! Lack of parking. No where to get refreshments while not allowed to bring in even water. WILL NEVER GO AGAIN
In all fairness and to Tubac I heard they were expecting 4K peeps showing up.. Does anyone have any idea how many came.. Our little resort is a gem and always does an excellent job on big events but sounds like many more came.. I live a block away .. ( stayed home tonite) Seen the event before...not sure what the big draw was all about.
