Tsukimi has moved to the Warehouse Market space formerly occupied by Espresso 46. It's a tiny, 2 person operation (Ami and Eric previously founded Dharma Sushi and then Kitsune), with 2 small tables: mostly take-out. Once you've eaten their sushi, you realize you had forgotten what great sushi tastes like. Exquisite, delivered with love by a master Sushi Chef.
Finally got to try Tsukimi tonight after hearing such rave reviews about them from their time on Gottingen. Holy moly! What a lovely restaurant that is absolutely worth the hype! The two staff are amazing - kind and friendly and clearly loving what they do (while working extremely hard!!!). And of course the food was amazing - we tried the Gyoza, karaage curry, and a couple different maki. What a gift to have this restaurant so close to home - I can’t wait to try everything on the menu. Go support this lovely gem!
We had a take out platter for our party consisting of a variety of dishes from karaage, nigiri, to rolls. Everything we had was excellent. The rice was perfectly textured and flavoured, and the fish was fresh and tasty. They were also very friendly and helpful when I had questions during ordering. Thanks again for making our night with your amazing sushi!
Some of the most fantastic sushi I've ever had in my life! Definitely eating here again when I'm back in the city.
Best sushi in Halifax. Hands down.
