Since the power outage all customers are being escorted through the store to keep everyone safe. It was clear to the employee that the customer was tampering with the package, and tampering with packaging is not permitted. That is why the employee asked to put the item back for the customer and asked her to leave. The employee has been through diversity training, and we will cover diversity training at our next store meeting. I have frequented this store for years. Yesterday I went to make a purchase with my niece and once out of my sight she was racially profiled and asked to leave. After the salesman shows where the item is she was looking to purchase was, he starts following her around the store. Seeing this she put the item back and then was told “I knew you were one of them”. Then tells her to leave the premises. This is unacceptable behavior. Tell your buyer that He/She Rocks! Your store was the ONLY PLACE in Cedar Rapids that stocked newer style thermopiles used in today's water heaters. I shopped 3 other places first, which will not happen again. You are now my "go to" hardware store! Many thanks!

I was in this morning, but didn't get the young mans name. I bought a garden rake to make a rack for my rolling pin. He cut the handle off and bent the steel prongs for me. Such great service, thank you so much! By the way, the fit is PERFECT!
