I’m concerned that Troy Messenger thinks it is appropriate and professional to post an article joking about gun violence. An apology is necessary for those who have lost loved ones to drive-by shootings. Many people read the article and immediately thought a family had been killed. Most journalists would not joke about cancer, drownings, etc. so why was this okay? This cannot be swept under the rug.
Drive by shootings and gun violence aren’t jokes. This is extremely disrespectful to those who have lost loved ones to gun violence.
