Fabulous food I am not a big fan of Asian fusion, so I jumped on one of their many specials of the night, lamp chops. They were absolutely delicious, which is an achievement given that this is not their specialty. My friends who did partake in the signature food could not stop raving about how good it was. This is a BYOB. The waitstaff was attentive, even to our group of 10. Prices were reasonable for the portions. Call for a reservation on the weekend.

a hidden gem! Hidden in the art museum area, this restaurant has a very diverse menu of great Asian fusion type food. Their menu is even vegetarian/vegan friendly for those who aren't meat eaters. Wait staff is friendly and prompt. They also offer delivery and take out. Prices are reasonable for the portion size. I recommend the portobella coconut soup and the crispy basil tofu (not on their typical menu). One of my favorite restaurants in Philly!

Food Was Good. Service, Less So – My fiancee and I went to Trio Saturday night without reservations. Got seated quickly, so that was good. By the time our waiter came over, we already knew what we wanted, so we placed our orders. Two apps (veggie spring rolls and chicken satay) and two entrees (drunken noodles with chicken, and chicken with green curry). It took over an hour for the apps to arrive. The waiter came once (at about the 45 minute mark) to say the kitchen was backed up and he was sorry about the wait. Finally the... read more

Two strikes and your out – This was the second time my husband and I went here. The first time was two years ago and the service and food were very disappointing. We went on a slow night, the service was horrible, our appetizer was burnt and the food was mediocre so we did not go back. Then friends said they went recently and had a good meal so we checked out the reviews and decided to give it another chance. We went back last night with 3 friends. 3 out of 5 of us ordered appetizers/soup and two of us received our soup and ... read more

As good as New York...maybe even better!! – So I just moved into the area from New York. I have had my fair share of "Thai" and "fusion" restaurants, and Trio single handily wins my heart. I have been to other restaurants in the area (Rembrandt, Jacks, Umai?!?) and have realized that Trio is the gem that is hidden in the nooks of the Fairmount area, also I just found out they deliver!! The beggars pouches are quite delicious, especially dipped in sweet sauce that comes with it. So light and crispy, but simply delicious. I ha... read more

Simply Mahvelous!!!! – Had my Valentine's dinner here with the lady and it was perfect. The lamb shank was perfectly spiced and fork tender. The lady had the Seabass and she oooh'd and aaah'd as she ate it. The service was great considering it was a packed house. It really is a great date place. We had started with the soup of the day which was seafood chowder that rivaled some I've had in New England. It all ended with these coconut crepes with bananas fosters that may very well be the best dessert I've ever had. The homema... read more

Gruesome Grub – Wow, in the interest of public health, whoever is cooking at Trio ought to find a new line of work pronto. We ordered take-out on the basis of a walk-by tour of this Fairmount restaurant (we're new residents) showing an unambitious menu that should have been easy to get right. But no. The calamari salad, pallid rings of off-tasting squid, rested atop a shredded pile of greens that seemed to have been rescued from a compost pile. One taste and into the trash. Chicken satay: an arid, overcooked nightmare rife w... read more
