I read all of the reviews about Amerigas and thought they must be exaggerations. To be honest, I did not have a choice: we bought a house in December in MI, and inherited the Amerigas buried tank - and service- that came with it. From the start, I couldn't even reach Amerigas to transfer the account from the prior home owners. I spent several hours on hold. The home owners recommended we call a local sales line, that we might have more luck that way. We did, and I set up my account on December 14th, with an intro rate of $0.... read more

I am currently on auto fill and was pending an order for over 2 months. I was forced out of propane and was told sorry for your luck. Then was charged over $900 for a single fill. This company is breaching contracts and does not care. Also will not answer the phones or reply to emails.

This company is crap. We spent HOURS and put in over a HUNDRED tickets to get someone to fill starting NOV 09 2020 till NOV 30 to finally get an answer that i had to fix my propane tank. I fixed it Dec 10th and it took till DEC 30th TO GET ANYONE TO COME VERIFY IT WAS FIXED! through that time i had to use electric heaters so my heat bill skyrocketed to $500! Even the technician that came and did the leak test said that I shouldn't have to pay for the propane but of course when i finally get my fill Jan 15 2021 I have to pay ... read more

Zero stars I cannot understand how they stay in business! I ordered, as a new customer, to fill a rented tank on Dec 21st in a new home and said they would be out in 7-10 days, no show! called as many as 7 times in a 6 week period, spent hours on hold, and just was promised it would be here same day or tomorrow at latest, still NEVER came! Finally cancelled on Feb 4th and went with a Local company ******* ***and they were out same day, delivered a new tank and filled it same day. Now can't get Amerigas to pick up their tank,... read more

This is the worst company to deal with in any category. No customer service at all regardless. You cannot find a way to talk to them at all not matter what. I ordered a delivery on 2/8/2021 to cope with the winter ice rain and storm. We were scared to run out of propane and fell into the situation of power outage. They projected a delivery 2/10 to 2/23. Today is the last day and we longed delivery is still not here at the time of business closing. The winter storm is over and sunshine now. They still did not deliver on the l... read more

Late delivery and now can not contact anyone. I am some how a AmeriGas customer now. Started out with * *** * *** in lumberton..... then without signing anything or talking to anyone cape fear propane starts filling my tank. So once again without signing anything or talking to some one, I am now an AmeriGas customer. Lol I have no idea what to say or do. The store in whiteville says I can not go inside. So when I call and wait over an hour it’s some where hours away that claims they will call me back! Never happend. Now I ha... read more

This company has no idea as to how bad their service turns out to be. Lengthy waits to talk with customer service who are plesant enough but can,t seem to really help. They just put notes with the file, sent a message to the local office and then hope for the best. Ran out of propane in Jan and had to call for for an emergecy delivery at 5 am. Am again waiting for a delivery while tank is on 10 percent. Was now told i was on a tentative delivery for tommorrow. I have nothing positive to say about this organization. You are s... read more
