Lovely little trees. First time experience. Get there early and be polite to wait. A long line of vehicles, but the volunteers have such an efficient system in place, once the line is moving it goes very fast. These are FREE TREES. These are volunteers, kind and generous people, donating their time. We are so grateful to have been allowed to participate. Some people are not so grateful, not kind. Dec 3 Addition: A few more giveaways later it turns out every single tree and shrub I got from TOH had aphids, caterpillars, or some disease. I remember the guy who passed me the leafless pot of stems saying, "Just give it epson salts". Chemicals are expensive and you have to be a botanist to figure out what disease they all have. All that work in planting and watering for a tree/shrub that didn't stand a chance. I was so excited and now so disappointed from wasted hours and effort to revive sick plants.
