We were referred to your medical facility this past weekend by close friends. My husband was admitted with severe pain. Dx. Kidney Stone & scheduled for surgery the next day. I was also seen in the ER for Dx. Bronchitis. We received 5-star service from ER admission, Cat Scan, Radiology, Lab, Surgeon Dr. Swartz and the Med. Surg. Floor Nurses. Everyone was great except the NP I had she needs to work on her bed side manner she was very rude. Everyone else was great.
Founded in this Uptown spot in the 1850s as a Jewish hospital (with tons of cool historic displays scattered around), redecorated very well a few years ago. I visit a ton of people here (2 sets of new parents just yesterday) and the reports on the quality of care are always solid. Friendly nursing staff. LOCAL. I really love this place.
Kudos to the Touro Emergency Department, Primary Stroke Center and the M-8 Heart & Vascular team for outstanding and highly personalized care over the Labor Day weekend. Special thanks to on call physicians like Dr. Cliff Hendricks of New Orleans Eye Specialists and Dr. April Fox of Uptown Nephrology.
