Good Mexican, close to home. Tortuga's is one of our favorite restaurants for a quick dinner out with the kids. We have consistently had good meals at Tortuga's. Nasty Food, Nasty Prices This is NOT Mexican food, it is a mock-Mexican restaurant run by Americans. The food took forever to arrive, the salsa can't even be considered salsa & the prices are outrageous. This is an insult to the hispanic community.
One of my favorite Mexican Restaurants I have been eating here since college! They have excellent salsa and guacamole (though it's a tad expensive) and I love their fresh tortilla chips. My favorite standby is the chicken burrito with mole. It's delicious! It's tricky to find a good mole sauce in this area. Their nachos are also very good. Remember to bring cash! They charge $1 to use your debit card and do NOT take credit cards.
Convenient, something different This is a clean, convenient place with quick, yummy food that is an OK place to bring the kids. Something different for a Friday night!
RecommendedTortugas has always been one of our favorite restaurants in the area, but it has become a staple during COVID. Although they are only takeout now, the food is as delicious as ever, and still piping hot when I get it home. Looking forward to dining in again someday, but until then we’ll continue to do carry-out to get our Tortugas fix!
Another FANTASTIC meal delivered from Tortugas Mexican Eatery! The Chile Rellenos are the best, and the verde sauce is SO delicious...add that to great salsa, chips and guacamole. Thanks again, Tortugas!
