This place has gone downhill – While this used to be the place to go for Mexican food in Houston, it has become a big dissapointment. I live one street over and will drive out of my way to eat Mexican food anywhere but Tony's. On my last visit, the waitstaff was pretty much non existent and it took me tracking him down to get our check. I ordered chicken enchiladas, but only had about 4 very small pieces of chicken floating in cheese. My husband had the fish tacos, and once again, they were very stingy with the fish. ???? – Actually I haven't been yet ... My friend will be celebrating her Birthday there on Jan 5, 2008 ... I am looking forward to it and am hoping that everything goes well .... See you then I rated Average for now but will return with a new Rating after my visit :-)

Great Mexican Experience – This restaurant is a home run plain and simple. The service and staff were pleasant and helpful. We were seated right away and the waiter took our drink order within minutes. The margaritas were awesome. Their spicy salsa was the best I have ever had. Too bad they dont sell it by the jar in house. My mother has salt and spice issues and the waiter brought the chef out to make sure the dish was done right. The atmosphere was alive but not noisy. Could the food be any better and cheap! – Ok, so I went there once and saw this place and was like, "Good God they need to be inspected here," BUT they have been inspected by the best of the best in the big blue glasses who is no longer with us, and have passed with flying colors. Great food, Margaritas and Service. – Tony's has the best margarita's in town. Excellent tex-mex for the $$$. Get's a little hot and crowded on the weekends, be prepared to walk as the parking is not the best.

Great place to cruise for dudes. – The food is amazing. The salsa is so hot and the dudes are even hotter. The margaritas are savory..savory enough to let go.

Oily and smelly – I really did not see what the hype was all about! Terrible service! Once I found parking I had to hike to the restaurant and the house that I had to pass to get to the restaurant was very strange! People making comments to us and expecting a response, really did not understand why the parking lot was located where it was. Very offensive to have to endure that just to get Mexican Food that was sub par! I expected more!

Excellent Margaritas, great Tex Mex Comfort Food – Without a doubt Tony's is our favorite mexican food restaurant and we've always gotten great attentive service. The ritas are powerful no doubt - and the place gets packed Fridays and Sat because it's awesome. We just returned from Mexico and our first Houston restaurant stop TONY'S, there is no better place for Spinach enchiladas, raging margaritas and a comfortable happy atmosphere.

Worst restaurant – I recently had a gathering at Tony's . I called in advance to reserve tables. When my guest did not arrive promptly at the appointed time, I was told that they could not wait any longer and began pulling away our assigned tables. The wait staff was very rude, pratically trying to take our plates away before we were done eating. The food was not good at all, maybe we should have taken the hint and let them take our plates. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone nor would I return.
