Great place - the living legend and best ice cream and sandwich shop of all - Tony's Ice Cream! What a wonderful place. It has been in the business of making smiles and countless memories for over 100 years!!!
When I was 10 years old I spent one year in the North Carolina orthopedic hospital which is close to Tonys. I had a hip issue that had to be corrected. My parents could only come visit me on the weekend's but they would stop by Tonys on there way and surprise me with ice cream. To this day when I come to Gastonia I try to come by for ice cream. I'm now 58 and have a fond remembrance of your fine establishment!
My grandson loves a good Tony's milkshake. Only two and appreciates the finer things in life. Taught him well we have.

The food and ice cream were terrific! However, the seating is not sufficient. Remember to grab a seat "before" you get your food, otherwise you will be holding drinks and food (including melting ice cream) at the mercy of another family to hurry and get done so you can sit and enjoy your meal. Totally worth the trip, would go again!!
