The service I had done was the outright replacement of 'the head unit’... the main computer that controls most everything via the dash. The original blew. As a direct result a great deal of the control of things became wonky/ nonfunctional/ off limits/ more of a classic 'can't get there from here.' Couldn’t use the radio or a cell phone through the car. Couldn’t adjust myriad things that are controlled/ adjusted via this unit. Pleasant and courteous. Heard my problem and gave me phone number to call for road side service since under warranty. Someone came within 15”. Got battery jumped, took to subaru and worked in. Battery replaced within 2 hours again under warranty. Very friendly and helpful.
Service managers, Chris and Jennifer, communicate very well. Friendly and accommodating. They don’t over sell the service options.
I had a tough service today. Generally I have not had any problem with Tonkin Subaru, but today was frustrating. I had an appointment and arrived on time. Customer service quickly acknowledged I arrived and hastily processed me. I could barely let him know what I was there for when he was taking my keys and ushering me to the waiting area. I love the people at Tonkin Subaru! I've brought my car in a number of times now and have always gotten top notch customer service. I moved out here from a big city and had some concerns about the quality of service in a smaller town, but I could not have been more wrong. I get better service at Tonkin than I ever did before! Huge thanks to Chris and Jen for the peace of mind and for taking great care of my car!
Excellent service department, Jen and Chris make sure the task is completed correctly and great follow through. Easy to make a appointment and the customer waiting area is nice too.
Chris and the service department are excellent. Chris is personable and professional in his management of the work flow; he is sensitive to practical and to automotive needs.
