Best Salon – Nao Suzuki has been my stylist for over a year, and she has been absolutely amazing. She really takes the time to properly cut your hair and always pays attention to details. She is very skilled and uses many different techniques to make your cut perfect. She really is one of the best stylists in the City. Also, the salon is very nice and has a great atmosphere. Nao and Tomoko really make you feel welcome.
Nao Suzuki is an awesome haircutter! – Over the past year and a half, Nao has consistently given me great haircuts. Whenever I request a new variation on my hairstyle, she always make the cut work just right for me, adapting the style to my hair texture and the shape of my face. I've had many haircuts from many top hairstylists over the years (some quite famous), and I place Nao's cuts at the top of my list. She's a great talent, and very nice to deal with as well!
Tomoko is like a hair doctor !!! – I just have done my hair straightening a few days ago. Some of my friends go to Tomoko from my neighborhood Which over 25miles from Manhattan. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!! – I have lived in the neighborhood and passed this place for years and finally decided to make an appointment based on the good reviews on city search for Cathy. I had no idea what I wanted to do and gave her no direction other than ?make it pretty.? She took such care in the haircut and I am so happy with her and the whole experience. I recommended her to all of my friends in the neighborhood. She is really great!
Great Stylist! – I have been a customer of Shimas for a few years and i always love the way my hair looks when i leave, and more importantly it looks just as good weeks after the cut. You feel really pampered when you are there and everyone is extremely friendly.
Cathy Masae is the best hair stylist ever in NYC. – I have tried so many hair salons in NYC, even non-japanese places, but she is the one and only who can answer for my needs. I feel she knows what I would like my hair style to be. She won many rewards in Japan and was already very popular back home among women. She can do make-ups and all fields in woman's fashion. Best hair experiences I have ever had!!! – I've never had my stylist be so attentive and the cut Tomoko gave me was fabulous. This was one of the best hair experiences I have ever had. I didn't give her a lot of direction as to what I wanted, I didn't know exactly how to describe it, but she understood exactly what I meant and was able to make my normally fine hair bounce with life. I definitely recommend this salon and Tomoko, my new stylist.
cathy gives me the best hair cuts that I've ever had in my life. – I'm from Japan and I've lived here in NY for 5 years. I'm an actress, and I've always looked for a good stylist, because I don't like my head shape. The back looks very flat, styling is not easy. But finally I meet Cathy, she is fabulous!! Now I never worry about my hair. Her design and technique is amazing. She understands my feeing, and creates an image of me that matches my life.
