About this business

Enjoy steaming hot bowls of ramen in a lively atmosphere at this little restaurant in the Atlas district. The decor at Toki Underground is Japanese-inspired, but stays clear of the cliched elements. The striking interior is replete with edgy Japanese-inspired artwork, with toys, figurines and comic books appearing throughout for added effect. The ramen selection includes the Toki Classic, Taipei Curry Chicken and red miso. Besides this, the menu also offers a choice of dumplings. Pair it up with one of the Japanese beverages... read more

Service and atmosphere were great, the fried chicken buns were perfect, buns were perfectly cooked just the right texture, the dumplings were a bit doughy which kind of masked some flavor, but were still well put together. The mains were great, delicious pan-asian ramen bowls. The cookies for dessert while generally worked as a whole dish with the salty bean paste and the milk, I honestly wasn't a huge fan and I freaking love cookies. Overall, really cool spot, great ramen bowls, just a bit hit or miss on some other things.

The kimchi/pork dumplings literally took my breath away...amazing! Phenomenal Ramen that my husband and I are obsessed with replicating.

Lived up to the hype. Very small and intimate. Flavors were off the chart!

Reservation schedule is pretty tight but the food is totally worth it. Service is super friendly and atmosphere chill & relaxed. It's a small, neighborhood spot that is a great find.

Vegan ramen wasn’t very good. It was more salty than any other distinct flavor. The veggies were slightly soggy, also.

The wait was an hour but that was to be expected on a Saturday night. However the service, food atmosphere, and lovely staff was MORE than worth the wait. We will definitely be heading back soon.
