I have been a state farm customer for over 10 years. The end of feburary my home was burglarized. I put in a claim threw my renters insurance for items that were stolen from me. State farm has been a nightmare since. They sent an adjuster to my home who took pictures of my belongings. He intergated me at my own dining room table with a tape recorder.will ask you about your income, how much rent you pay, do you receive any assistance, do I work, basically telling me that since I'm black that I shouldn't be able to afford to h... read more

We had a homeowners policy that was just cancelled because we made a claim. One claim in 3+ years, and they state we are a liability. This company is a bunch of theives, and incredibly slimy. Will be going with Progressive, and never using State Farm again.

I have been insured by State Farm for nearly twenty years with, currently, two homeowners policies and three auto policies. I filed my first homeowner policy claim ever this past spring, 2019, for storm damage to the roof of my home. Their claims department was a nightmare. Their "customer service'' personnel were combative and obviously trained to ignore, very proficiently, their customers concerns and complaints. I would like to agree with some other reviewers that State Farm doesn't pay claims fairly. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I've never had a major claim with them and the only claim that I filed with them in the last 10 years was to have a driver's side window replaced on my car after it was broken by a rock. In July 2019, I had a roof leak and called to file a claim. State farm does not pay claims fairly. Police report of wreck states other driver made an improper left hand turn and was issued a citation. Police report also states I made no improper actions. The report also state a witness saw the wreck and said I had no way of avoiding the wreck. Yet state farms wants me to accept fifteen percent of negligence in the wreck. This is in regards to the company as a whole. I was in an accident on 07/27/2018. I was determined to be at NO fault! On Monday August 12th we were made aware that we were charged for 3 Insurance points AND this was on my state driving record as an at fault accident. We have contacted State Farm Underwriting Department and they admitted they messed up. They only agree to refund us for the previous months we were overcharged. I called State far to report an accident that one of their policy holders caused and was given some of the worst customer service ever , first i was called the very next morning as the accident happened late the night before and was advised state farm was taking responisibility of the claim and to call them with my shop information, when i called back with the information i was directed to an assigned claims rep named Rosa C. she was a horrible rep advised because of limits they wanted me to go through my insurance file a cl... read more

I got hit by State Farm insured driver. I was driving on a green light on midlane. State Farm insured driver came into mid lane while making a right turn. The person hit my car right on top of my rear passenger tire. The insured lied and said that she made a complete turn and hit me. Ah feel a song com'n on! "Like a bad neighbor, State Farm don't care!" They refuse to fix our rotting floor upstairs because they think we should have known it was rotting! How much sense does this make? I think it's not about SENSE as much as it's about CENTS...and plenty of 'em in the pockets of State Farm.
