Definitely would not recommend using State Farm. I was recently informed by a reputable roofing contractor that the “preferred” companies State Farm suggested I use instead of “storm chasers” after the 2019 hail storm missed significant damage to my roof, gutters, and siding. Woman backed into me in a parking lot, hitting me on the middle of the driver’s door. Both of us are insured by State Farm. When she got out of her car she said it was her fault and that she was distracted by her child. I filed the claim with State Farm. A few days later I received notice that my claim was denied. I was at complete stop when I was rear ended by a state farm customer. She hit me going 40 plus miles an hour. She also hit 6 other vehicles. State Farm has failed to keep me updated as far as repairs, rental car etc They havent bothered to reach out regarding my accident. Last time I spoke with someo e, they obviously had no clue on how much this affects someone. I finally said forget about it and dropped my claim. I sure hope they find a better way of doing business
I was in an accident with someone insured by State Farm on 12/30/2020. I was sideswiped by their insured driver. I was traveling in the left lane at a roundabout and the other driver was in the right lane. There are signs at the roundabout that show the left lane can go straight or continue left around the roundabout and the right lane must go straight. State Farm claims to have its customers in its best interest but with my recent experience I think not. I made a claim for flood damage in may 28th get my car to a shop shot does it job now it’s time for the estimator from start farm to do his. Everything is going well instead of totaling out my car they’ll repair it instead of a new engine they’ll use a used one that’s fine I say. While the initial process offered great customer service I later learned that this company was not all that it seemed. Contrary to its claims it is not a life insurance company for all but rather some that fit its subjective parameters. I was interested in obtaining life insurance with this company and am currently in my late 20’s. I later found out as a result of my height and weight I was not insurable. My husband and I have been with State Farm for more than 10 years for both cars and house insurance. We always pay both cars and house insurance 6 months in advanced and have never late on any bills. We barely claim for either cars accident or house damage. We want to keep our records clean, so our rate won’t go up. This past year we moved from a house to apartment and now with my MIL. i am not happy with the way i have been treated by agents that work for this company. My son was in an accident and the State Farm Claims Department have been the one's in charge of the claim. However, every time i have talked to an agent i am made to be felt like a criminal and i am not the person that caused the accident. Sure hope that site notifies me when it's not required to leave an underserved star. State Farm sure is an amazing insurance company, they collect payments on time every month for years, nothing like filing a claim and them wasting as much of my time humanly possible, it's not personal, just business I guess.
