Amerigas customer service is a joke. We have been a customer(Charlottesville, Virginia area)for 24 years so I guess loyalty means nothing. We have a set schedule to have propane delivered twice yearly. ( which is set by the company NOT us) It so happens that the next delivery was set for Feb. 24, 2022 but on Sunday the 20th were ran out of gas. I have told them several times the gauge on my tank is faulty. They assured me it was fine, so I couldn't watch when I ran too low. Now I'm stuck with a big bill I can't afford. When I tried to leave the company they told me it would be $150 just to leave and have them come get their tank. I was forced into this company when my local company sold out to them. It takes an hour on hold to get ahold of them and they're shady and shiesty. Stay local. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone.
This company is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! I won't take up the space needed to say how terrible they are and give the multitude of reasons....and they are MANY! Worst company I have ever dealt with! Stay away at ALL COSTS!
Feb. 11, 2022 AmeriGAS Propane is absolutely the worst propane company in history as far as I am concerned. Over two yr ago, we discovered a leak around the tank. We called, tech came, inspected the tank, and refused to remove the tank, refused to switch out the tanks, and refused to pump out the propane into a safer tank, saying he had no way to pump out gas, and left. He told us to use the gas, that it was safe, BUT, DO NOT LET ANYONE AROUND IT with open flame, sparks, or cigarettes! That was in 2019. In the Spring of 2020... read more
This company is a joke. I am held hostage by the fact that I have their tank buried in my yard. I ordered propane in January and they promised delivery by Feb 2. I’m still waiting and it’s Feb 11! I’ve called their useless call center four times and speak to people in another country who have no idea what is going on. Yesterday I was told the truck was on the way and I was 7th on the list … I stayed home and no gas was delivered…again! Someone needs to initiate a class action law suite against AmeriGas! They should have an option to give negative stars. Because I would give them a negative 5 star. POOR SERVICE. They do not deliver when they say they will. Two months in a row we did not get our gas when they said they would. Looking for a new company.
Absolutely the worst company ever! Over priced , poor customer service, slow delivery and pick up. Would never do business with them again!!!
My 88 year old mother is on auto delivery, AmeriGas forgot to come. She ran out of propane 36 hours ago. She lives in upstate NY and has not had heat. We have made several calls only to be told that delivery cannot happen for another 24 - 48 hours. Absolute worst company to do business with.
This is the absolute worse business on all levels I have EVER dealt with, Amerigas greensburg serves my area, this has been going on a while, I had to get in touch with corporate to get a delivery they referred me to the manager in the area and he was able to get me delivery but I had to contact him directly every time I needed an order because the office would not.
