Amerigas has been extremely disappointing. My boyfriend, a decorated combat veteran and full time engineering student at Penn State York, has had issues with getting his propane filled since NOVEMBER. Worst company on every level. Bad customer service on delivery (way late) and tank service (even way later). I spent hours waiting on hold to reach anyone. And when I did, they could not fix the issues. I am now 4 months into trying to get this resolved. Billing is wrong and their offices are unwilling or incapable of correcting their system. Finally today, I filed a complaint with the BBB. Don't do business with Amerigas, they don't deserve it!! They are too big to care about their customers.
They deserve 0 stars. This company left me without gas (hot water) for 6 days, though I'm an auto-refill customer. Five calls over five days yielded no help at all, just outright lies - one agent gave me a confirmation number with his guarantee that fuel would be delivered in 2 hours - the number turned out to be a bogus string of letters and numbers. Ordered gas 2 weeks ago. Told it would be here then. Called about the delivery and was put on hold said computer froze up. Never came back on the phone. Called again the next day and could not understand the gentleman on the phone. Though he was in another country. But was in Ohio. So checked for the delivery date said it would be 3 more days before delivery. The company sent out an email about a month and half ago and said they hired extra people and drivers to get caught up with deliveries. We working 10 hrs a day now and... read more
Online ordering is a breeze. But all phone calls go to a centralized call center with astronomical wait times. Speaking to someone in the local office is no longer possible.
This companies customer service is terrible. I called and setup an apt and nobody showed up and didn't bother to call me. Then I called them the next day and the lady said I was on the books and not sure why nobody showed up. Then she tells me, she will have to talk to service and find out why. Here it is friday and I still have no phone call from them. Not sure how they are in business with customer service that way. Don't waste your time or money with this company. Find someone else.
I couldn't get ahold of Amerigas to get them to come fill my tank ever since last year in 2019. They are not taking phone calls. Not even on the 800 number! You can't call them at all. I had to get another company real quick last year because I would have had no working fire place at all through this winter. I just tried to call them again today 1-7-21 to come pick up their tank that is sitting out here on my property. They are still not taking any calls. Come get your tank off my property!
If I could leave no stars I would! My elderly and disabled parents have been trying to reach this company for over a week now to get a delivery. They have waited on hold multiple times for 40+ minutes only to be disconnected. They have tried requesting a delivery online only to be told their account number (which I verified is correct) is incorrect.
