The hand and upper extremity are unique areas that are made up of bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, skin, and blood vessels. Preservation and restoration of hand and arm function is critical to each individual who has unique demands and aspirations. For each individual, I believe it is important to listen to their unique demands and goals as it relates to upper extremity problems. I highly recommend Dr. Pater, he’s extremely professional, I especially value the fact that he’s not in a hurry to jump to surgery but explore other ways of healing.

Pater is very good. He is easy to talk with and answers all questions, spends time with me and makes sure I am good with everything before he leaves, and is giving me honest advice about what is the best approach now with future plans and expectations included. He is up on the newest procedures and options, and has been great at explaining them and telling me what to expect. He has done one surgical procedure on me a few years ago, and is helping me delay the eventually needed additional ones.

Great doctor! He listens intently to your issues and suggests the best course of action. He did carpal tunnel surgery on both of my wrists one month apart. The surgeries went fine without a hitch. Pain was very manageable and his description of how things should go, week by week, was spot on.

Glad to have Dr. Pater tell me I did not need surgery on my thumb yet.

Tore my rotator cuff and labrum.Dr Pater performed my surgery in May.I re-tore it and went back to him to discuss options. His lack of compassion actually left me crying in my car(not enough space to give details).I left the practice and am now recovering Labrum and rotator cuff repair, labrum should have been fixed the first time.2nd surgeon in office suggested cortisone shot?shots don’t fix torn tendons.I would recommend using a doctor who knows shoulders.8 mnths later and I am starting over.
